Spot the Dog.

Around April this year, my neighbour's family got two puppies from somewhere. They live in front of my house, about 20 steps away.

Now, their house is kinda like a construction site. It has been, and still is undergoing renovations, due to the meaness towards the workers. There are nails, lots of dust and the pups live outside. One pup died. Me and my mom didn't think so much about that. Until this week.
The remaining pup (my mom has bestowed the name "Spot" on him because he has a big brown spot on his back and a tri coloured head with a white body..with a few brown spots) was very unsocialized. He was really timid and if you advanced towards him, he's growl although he's kinda small, lol.

So I was giving Inky some treats, when tadah..I saw the pup. Right in front of my gate. This pup which was really introvertish suddenly was outgoing? Cool mon. I gave him some biscuits too, he ate them despite his little teeth. Well, everything was fine. Turns out, my mom fed him before me (no wonder he came to our gate), and she told me he was infested with some kind of thing.

Like, the next day I think, he came to my house again. I pet him and whoa man. The tick infestation was...o.o Indescribable. I don't even know how many they are, maybe a few hundred. His ears felt hard because of all the tick bodies. I was shocked. o.o Imagine the pain he had to/was going through. And for each of his paws, each had like, a full house of ticks, just bustlin' about gettin' a bloody meal. xD You could even see the ticks (those that weren't feedin') crawling on his white fur.

I knocked on my neighbour's door (I didn't steal him just like that this time). I knew there was someone around, but maybe he was sleeping. No one answered. I'm sorry, but I couldn't wait much longer (turns out, the family came home later than I thought). I carried the pup and ran to my house's back door and right there was the bathroom (yush, very convenient, and yush, my dog's get bathed with lukewarm water =]). I bathed him with the medicated shampoo that we have for the other dogs that kill all pests. The next day, my mom bathed him again, and soaked the dog in the medicated water + shampoo.

We bought a deworming pill for him and the other dogs at the same time the same day and also bought a tick collar for him (which got took off twice because the owners thought that it hurt him, cuz he hated it, but now he's okay with it). Nope, we didn't claim the money back, but as long as the tick collar stays on, we're fine.

Sooo..that's what has been going on in mah life. ^^ We told them that we bathed him and now, he's becoming quite a nice dog, still a little timid, but we're working on it. =)
