A post while I'm eating jelly

Today is not to be compared with the best day of my life, no. Today, I represented Kuching at SMK Tun Abang Haji Openg.

We went there yesterday for some briefing, saw a really smart guy. Nice coat-ish thing and he had a...watch. Yes. Watches pwn. xD Anyway, we skip off to the next day. Woke up at 5 a.m. And the teacher (same teacher, Mr WHT) came to pick me up to drive another 20 miles to the school.

So we got there, in time. Um...and after an hour, it was our (the secondary schools) turn to compete against each other for 4 semi-finalists to compete again later. The competition rounds were like this; all secondary/primary schools compete with each other, then 4 semi-finalists are picked for the semi-final, then two of the semi-finalists will be chosen to compete again to see who gets number 1.

15 questions, 15 minutes. This time, it was easy man. I finished all but one question. And that guy talked to me. LOL. Well, actually it was me who asked if he finished all the questions but he smiled first. xD Anyway..-presses forward button-.

After waiting for a REALLY REALLY long time (about 1 hour only), they finally got the Primary round started. They read out the semi-finalists' names and off they went. And they suck. Ok, I was being mean. They were good...for primary school kids. While they were stalling for time and competing their heads off, I walked out on them and went to the toilet (which was quite far away).

On the journey to the jambano, I had a revelation. People like me! xD The majority of the school are Malays/Muslims and it also has a small part of Bumiputeras. And they were staring at me (like I'm a weird Chinese grinning her head off to the toilet) and they waved at me. One person even asked me; ni hao ma. They were all smiling at me for some reason (checks her hair in the mirror).

The second I came back into the dewan where the semi-finals was being held, I heard 'peserta yang berjaya masuk semi-final ialah (or is it adalah?) wakil PPG Kuching...wakil Betong etc etc'. (They didn't even know my name, -sniffs). Oh wow, haha. Nice announcement....that I had been waiting for for a long time. -glares at the judges who procrastinated a lot-

Finally, my turn to go on stage (they held the semi-finals on stage so that other students could watch the projection of what we were doing). To cut this long part of the story short, I beat 'em all in the semi-finals. Like, quite badly (for those who didn't get into the final). I wish the semi-final WAS the final. -pout- But, too bad, they chose a guy (I was the only girl on stage, btw) and me to stay back. And he beat me by 2 points (about that). For the semi-finals, 1 question=1point but for the finals, 1 question=2points. It was close. And he's the guy from Betong, the only one I remember (his name is something like Jeycobs).

Gah, the smart guy went home. He wasn't chosen for the semi-final and I don't even know his name. Bleh, didn't get his email or any way to contact him. But no worries, I got a trophy and a dictionary (as if I don't have enough of those). The trophy looked exactly like the Johan's trophy (no gold trophies, all were silver). Picjures will come later, when I'm ready to get my lazy bones up and working.
