I came back from lunch and the drains were overflowing, and my carpark outside looked like this. I ate lui cha and had teh tarik for lunch, just fyi. :P It tasted real good. Anyway, back to the topic.
THE FLOOD. *insert gasp here*
The water reached half a step outside. Dad says about 4 inches. We had to sweep lots of dirt out when the water starting receding. Dad saw little fishies but I had no luck trying to catch em. Couldn't even see em. There were lots of lizards and bugs and a couple centipedes (THAT WE KILLED, DIE CENTIPEDES DIE) and my dogs were like Robinson Crusoe, stranded on the island doorstep. Er, Cookie and Inky were a bit dumb because our backyard under the awning area wasn't flooded so they could've gone there but yeah. Lara, Smo and Tiger were smarter.
It was quite like an adventure. Something like the mini flood we had back in 2006. Exciting stuff but thank God the water didn't come into our house or we'd have to say bye bye to our piano. Kudos to you if you can see the peace sign in the pic.
Do you like my drain? I like it too. 3.2MP phone cams can take rather good pics (oh, stop the self praising)! This is to show that not everyone needs a DSLR (so if you want to donate your DSLR away, hand it over to me pls).
Then the water receded :D And my Lara babay came out. We brought her to the vet today to fix her ears (long story) and I must say, I love her when she's heavily sedated. She was so obedient. I could cut her nails, paw fur and all her matted hair without her leaving any marks on me. *buys tranquilizer darts for future use*
Mini floods are fun.
