I have been kinda neglecting my blog but no fear! Rene is here to finally give an update!
Let me start with the Sarawak State Election 2o11.
I was high. And by high, I mean checkin/following the politicians on twitter, supporting YOUKNOWWHICHPARTY and attending a couple ceramahs to show my support! :D Dad thinks that if I continue being like this, I should be a lawyer. I saw Anwar who has lots of charisma. He even replied me on twitter, telling me that he supports Manchester United (which I only support for tradition reasons) and that was cool. I wonder where he found the time to tweet back the reply (even though it was only two letters long).
And in case you hadn't noticed, for every word I type, I have to divert my attention away from my char siew rice. So let me have a scoop, will ya?
Then we found out BN won. And then I went into post-election depression. Then that was the end of my State Election experience.
Good Friday came around.
Easter came around.
I honestly need to remind myself that these are not just festivals or some kind of celebration that is over after the day is over (like Chinese New Year). I need to remember that the reason why we celebrate is because the God of the entire universe came and died for me, a human being. God died for me. That takes time to sink in from my brain to my heart.
Alicia posted a really interesting video which I'd like you to watch!
Ok, gonna take one more scoop of food. And a sip of cold tea.
Yesterday, I watched Source Code with the biggest group I have ever gone with. We actually wanted to watch Limitless but in Malaysia, it's rated 18 and I'm...not? Not yet anyway. And there are a couple movies that are not in Malaysia yet (like the Lincoln Lawyer which I've been waiting for since March 10th!). After watching so many movies, (and if the movie doesn't have any good moral lesson like silly ghost movies/far fetched boring movies etc) I tend to think that in the end, what's the use? What's the use of watching so many movies? And I feel guilty. How easy it is for me to spend hours watching anything that moves. I desperately need to study. Exams are coming next month. Next month is in less than a week's time.
I take my last sip of tea.
Today, Christabel and I performed as mimes during assembly with Joshua Taylor Thomas, Joshua Si and Brand Lu as poem readers. The title of the poem is "Are You Still Playing Your Flute?" by Zurinah Hassan. It was really fun being the man (er, woman) behind the mask! Video will be posted on facebooooook!
TTYL.
